Business Development Executive

Identifying target companies, customers or clients is important to determine if you have a customer base that will be interested in your product or service. This means you can optimally dedicate your time, effort and resources to finding and securing leads that will have the most impact. You can determine your target audience through market research, data analysis and discussions with potential partners.

We are looking for an exceptional and passionate individual with proven experience of managing and developing successful integrated campaigns and campaign strategies. As we continue to expand our work, we are looking to recruit to the post of Head of Research and Policy. This critical role will help to drive our lobbying, campaigning, advocacy, and research forward at a critical time for our organisation.

Help to identify and develop opportunities with commercial potential, working with academic colleagues to support their involvement in commercial activities which complement and enhance research and teaching. This is a full-time role but we are keen to find the right person and therefore happy to discuss flexible working patterns. We are flexible about where the role is based but you will be working with staff across the UK, India and the Philippines so you will need to be a great team player. We’re looking for an organised and confident individual who is an innovative thinker, proactive networker with strong relationship management skills. You will need strong verbal and written communication skills and experience developing bids or grant proposals and of securing high value grants and/or contracts from multiple sources. Experience of financial budgeting and reporting against KPIs will be advantageous. Prior experience of working in international development is not a pre-requisite.

You will be responsible for all income generated through Workplace Wellbeing initiatives. Currently we offer Workplace Wellbeing training to companies who pay for this service. You will be responsible for cultivating the training portfolio as well as developing growth opportunities such as consultancy and diagnostic tools. This is a role for an experienced Business Development professional with leadership skills, drive and strategic expertise.

Successful applicants will understand how to identify and market new opportunities and lead a small team to realise these opportunities. The role is target driven and success will be determined by the volume of income generated. We’re working with a wonderful charity who are looking for a Head of Business Development to lead their sales and partnerships team.

Use business snapshot reports which will be provided to identify opportunities for businesses to improve their social listings and Google Business Profile. Previous experience in financial services, property finance or sales industry is desired. You could specialise in business development within a specific sector like manufacturing or healthcare. There are also opportunities to move into consultancy work, providing advice to a range of companies.
