The module will introduce students to an appropriate range of theory connected to physical health and well-being in the context of children and young people’s education. Students will have the opportunity to explore issues through practical based workshops where the emphasis will be on applying theory to practice. Assessment will comprise of one written assignment and one individual presentation.

The module offers students an industrial placement where they contribute to the development and delivery of the host intuition’s project. Students develop their skills at communicating with both staff and learners, contribute to a learning exercise and where appropriate take kamerhiphop.com a lead role in delivering learning to small groups. Students develop their reflective capabilities through a community of practice in the University’s VLE. Presentational skills are also developed through the end of semester showcase event summarising the learning journey.

Please note, applicants with a foundation degree will need to supplement this qualification with at least 60 credits at level 6 in order to attain an equivalent single qualification. Entrepreneurial talent is being developed through a mini-enterprise activity in S2, and then, more substantially, with the Young Enterprise Scheme allowing S5/6 pupils to take full control of a business. Business with Education

This module introduces students to the fundamental concepts and principles of economics and provides an essential underpinning for more advanced study of economics and economic issues. Theme 2 is covered in year 11 and examines how a business develops beyond the start-up phase. It focuses on the key business concepts, issues and decisions used to grow a business, with an emphasis on aspects of marketing, operations, finance and human resources. It also considers the impact of the wider world on the decisions a business makes as it grows. The specification is structured into two themes, taking students from how entrepreneurs start businesses through to growing and global businesses . The students are assessed at the end of year 11 through two equally weighted exam papers, focusing on each specification theme.
