The most profitable salespeople (and business development reps) have an internal drive that pushes them forward and propels them to attain their gross sales goals. The intense concentrate on hitting specific buyer or income benchmarks each quarter is very intentionally designed to encourage sales reps to spend all of their time only on revenue-driving activities.
